Q: Is there a pill that kids are using in schools that contains heroin

My daughter died of an overdose @ 2 years ago and supposedly there is a white pill that is scored in half that kids are chewing and crushing for injection purposes that they think contains heroin.  The pill name starts with the letter "D".  Does diamorphine contain heroin?

I am so sorry to hear about your daughter.  I can only imagine how devastatingly heartbreaking that must be.  My heart goes out to you.

To answer your question, diamorphine is heroin.  (Heroin is a derivative of morphine.)  The manufacture, sale or posession of diamorphine is illegal in the U.S.  It is, however, available by prescription in the U.K. and Canada.
