Q: Can you get breast cancer twice in the same breast

my mother has had breast cancer in each breast and lympnodes removed now she has had a bad mammogram was wondering if it can happen again?

Unfortunately it is possible with breast cancer (as with many cancers) to return to the same area or to an associated area such as the lymph nodes. Most breast cancers that do return return within the first five years after treatment. Good luck with your mother!
