do they make vicodin 15mg/80
I ask this because I have taken vicodin for a long time for a blood disease that causes bleeds in joints and muscles. Which is very painful, especially, during an active bleed. They happen in my calves and back. I work as a waitress and have been told to apply for disability. I choose pain management and work for as long as I can stand it. I have built a tolerance to the medicine, it still works, just at higher doses. With my disease I can't take any otc meds. So yes, I truly depend on this med to have a life. Do they make vicodin 15mg,80mg?? I am also worried about long term damage to my liver. I don't care to try any other types of pain meds yet. They say I will get worse soon enough. I hope not. Help??????????? Gypsy
The highest dosage available for Vicodin is 10/660 (10 mg hydrocodone; 660 mg acetaminophen). If you've built up a tolerence for Vicodin, you might want to talk to your doctor about trying a different pain reliever for awhile.
You mentioned being concerned about how the medication was affecting your liver. Your doctor should be doing regular blood tests to monitor your liver function.
I admire your work ethic and hope you're able to find adequate pain relief to allow you to continue working for as long as you want to.
