Thank you for your prompt reply. I did read (and print) that article on surgery yesterday in case I have to have a hysterectomy in lieu of the results of this biopsy. However, unfortunately, this is an endometrial biopsy done in the office without anesthesia or pain meds of any kind. They advise to take ibuprofen about an hour ahead of time, but from what I've heard from women who have gone through it, and others online, it should be a procedure done in the hospital with anesthesia. They said it's the most painful thing they've ever experienced, including childbirth and that it triggers severe cramping. I'm trying not to be stressed over this as that will itself cause a flareup. I take Cymbalta at 10 a.m. for my FM. However, I think that I will take the ibuprofen for pain and some codeine ahead of time. My husband will drive my to and fro and said he'll actually come in with me since he can be a source of calm for me. Thanks again for your reply. In all my searching about CFS/FM, this is the first time I've found this site. I will look around as soon as I can. Thank you!
