Q: what short of food to avoid when Hep C

My Husband who is 34years,having Hep-C since 2006, and he having some problems now like ..His eyes gets very dry,ankle are swollen n painful some time  his tummy hurts continuesly for few days...

Yes, he smokes alot n he drink ocasionally ...i am just afraid if his smoke n drinking habbits gonna harm his Hep-C more later on ..pls if any one can give me Urgent Advices..thank you."SADiE from Nepal"

You're absolutely correct about his smoking and drinking habits possibly making his disease much worse. Hepatitis C is very hard on the liver - it can cause cirrhosis of the liver and even death. Since both smoking and drinking damage the liver - doing those with hep C just makes things worse.  Check  out the paper below on smoking and drinking and hepatitis C.

Hopefully you can get your husband to stop or at least cut back his smoking and drinking.
