Lyrica is a type of anti-convulsant (seizure medication) used to treat pain generated from the nervous system. Other medications in this drug class include: Neurontin, Gabitril, and Zonegran. As such, they all have similar side effects like drowsiness, dizziness, confusion, nausea, and the list goes on. Lyrica in particular can cause significant swelling in the limbs.
