There are different kinds and causes of peripheral neuropathy and your doctor will have to determine which drugs are right for you but Lyrica is certainly not the only drug prescribed for this condition.   Anti-seizure drugs (of which Lyrica is one)  interestingly enough have proven effective in fighting this pain for some people. Other drugs in this class include Neurontin, Tegretol and Dilantin. Tricyclic anti-depressants are another type of drug that was originally developed for another use but which is also helpful with pain.
