What is causing a burning and pulling sensation in my thigh?

concerned
11/08/09

It originally started several months ago as an itching sensation in my left front thigh.  It is now a burning and pulling sensation especially when I walk.  It is getting worse.   It is in about an inch area. What can be causing this?  My activity level has not changed.  I am 49 and I don't do any serious exercise but I do a lot of walking.

I don't really know.  Usually a burning type of pain indicates some kind of inflammation.  If it's bothering you that much, you really should check with your doctor.
