Q: Please explain treatment for RSD.

I have recently been diagnosed with RSD and have been prescribed numerous narcotics, aggressive Physical Therapy and Sympathetic Nerve Blocks. The Nerve Blocks provide temporary relief but do not relieve the pain totally and physical therapy is unbearable at times. My physicians have proposed possible Spinal Cord Stimulation surgery and I am very weary of it. Is there anyone out there who is living with the stimulator and out of pain? Are you out of pain and are you glad you had the surgery? I am truly suffering with this disorder, physically and emotionally. Please include any additional information that may be helpful.

Hi, I've had rsd for about a year, and have some found some helpful places.....sign up for msn groups, it's rsd helpline support group...... there's a lot of people knowledgable about treatments (all people with rsd or family members). Everyone is very supportive. Also has a lot of info on rsd and various treatments.
