APAP means acetaminophen (Tylenol) NOT aspirin.  Aspirin is ASA.  This is important because APAP is very hard on the liver and more than 2000mg/day from any source (meaning not just your vicoden but any cold medicine or any other OTC meds you take) should be taken with caution and under no circumstances should you take more than 4000mg/day from all sources.  Aspirin is FAR less dangerous.
