Hi,
I'm so sorry to hear that you are experiencinng so much pain with little relief. I have a couple of things that cause changes in my spine and they take turns! LOL. I've had 6 surgeries to correct 6 different areas so understand intractable nerve pain. You are on a pretty good whoolop of high-powered meds that should be blocking ANY kind of pain simply by knocking you out. If it were me, I think I would still want pain control for the moment, but I would also start looking into the possibility that you may have something else going on that that might need a different kind of attention (surgery? bad word, I know). I think scans to make sure that other anatomical changes are not the cause of your pain might be beneficial. If all is anatomically ok, TENS units are sometimes very helpful to some people (unfortunately, not all). TENS unit type implants are also available to help others that surface units do not help. I guess the bottom line that I am trying to get at is that meds are not the ONLY answer to pain relief. If you need to get a second or even third opinion -- you don't have to live with excruciating pain!!! I wish you well and hope this helps. Jeanne
