What you'll have to accept is the fact that modern medicine, eastern philosophy, pharmacology, and surgical technique have not (and will never) solve all human physiologic problems. The frustration you feel is likely shared by your physicians as they cannot fix it. IBS, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, chronic pelvic pain, mastalgia, TMJ, and other sydromes are all diseases that have not been completely scientifically defined. When I asked my doctor to fix me, she took the time to explain to me that just because these problems have not been worked out doesn't mean that I'm not sick. She also helped me to understand that there is no "cure" for them. Some MD/DO's I've seen obviously turned their own frustration with these disorders onto me and blamed me for the symptoms: "Doctor shopping" "drug seeking". My doctor believes these disorders can be explained by abnormalities in neuro-physiology or "brain chemistry" and so I now understand that my problems are indeed "all in my head". This understanding alone is what has helped me to cope. Don't give up, there are good doc's out there that care, but can't cure.
