Jaw problems

I have had alot of problems with my jaw and for the longest time thought it was lockjaw but I don't have the right symptoms for it. The right side of my jaw in the very back pops everytime I yawn, eat, chew gum, etc. I can't open my mouth all the way sometimes. When I move my jaw up and down I feel/hear a pop every time. When I got braces and they had to open my mouth for a long period of time i could hardly open it wide enough let alone leave it open, What is happening!?
