Q: What could Cause Low Body Temperature of 94?

I felt like is was getting sick this afternoon, weak, dizzy and very tired. Went to take my temperature and it was 94 degrees. It took almost four hours of being wrapped in a blanket with a heating pad to get it up to 97. Any idea what could be going on? I feel better after I warmed back up. But now it's dropping again.

My temperature is also 94 today. I took my temperature, as I felt unusually cold. I fasted yesterday, and have just eaten one salad meal today, so I am attributing the drop in body temperature to that. I will check my temperature tomorrow and the day after to make sure it has gone up, because it should.

You should a) make sure you are eating properly, and b) check your temperature again tomorrow after a good night's rest, and c) check in with your doctor if you continue too many days with such a low temperature.

This is what I intend to do, and it seems wise counsel to follow. I also read a list of diseases, such as kidney and liver problems, that can cause a drop in temperature, but I don't think, and certainly hope, I don't have them. Good luck with getting your temperature back to normal.
