left of my rectum.  I'm not able to sit without pain.  The doctor says one of the 3 muscles in my buttocks is tightening up and spasming, and perscribed a cream to reduce blood pressure.  What is the cause of this condition?  I never had problems with the pain before the colonoscopy.  Also told me it would take up to 2 years to heal.  I really can't function without being able to sit.  Does excercise help or hurt the healing of this muscular problem?

Get another DR. opinion and ensure you see a Gastronoligist.  It might also be a nerve from your lower disks in your back.
