After a colonoscopy 6 months ago, and 2 months of diahrea, I still have pain in the muscles to the
left of my rectum. I'm not able to sit without pain. The doctor says one of the 3 muscles in my buttocks is tightening up and spasming, and perscribed a cream to reduce blood pressure. What is the cause of this condition? I never had problems with the pain before the colonoscopy. Also told me it would take up to 2 years to heal. I really can't function without being able to sit. Does excercise help or hurt the healing of this muscular problem?
Get another DR. opinion and ensure you see a Gastronoligist. It might also be a nerve from your lower disks in your back.
