Poopsie's answer appears to be right on according to Pass Your Drug Test. com. Vicodin, in contrast to such drugs as percocet and fentanyl - which disappear within 24 hours - will stay in your system from 1-6 days depending, obviously, on a variety of factors.

Pain killers in this class usually remain in your system for about a week. But, it largely depends on how much and how often the pain med was used. A one time time dose may be eliminated more quickly than if the drug was used daily for a period of time before the testing was done. On average from the material I have read, one week, (7 days), is the best guideline to use. If you have taken daily for some time, I would give it 10 days to be more sure of a negetive test.
