Some of the symptoms include swelling usually in your extremities, burning/electric sensations, increased sweating at the site, muscle spasms, hot/cold sensations, a reddish color to the limb, joint stiffness. These symptoms usually occur near some sort of injury; in fact RSD is believed to be an over-reaction to an injury involving the autonomic nervous system and the immune system.
