What have you tried so far? Has anything helped?

I would suggest an antiinflammatory medication such as ibuprofen if you're not allergic to that.

Also heat or cold, whichever feels better.

It really depends on what is causing the inflammation to begin with since this type of pain is not usually a 'disease' by itself, but rather a symptom of some other process going on.

a month ago i went to see a gp, listening to my predicament, he request for an x-ray, gave me muscle relaxant. Muscle ralaxant+acupuncture+ chiroprator visit help me a lot. About 2 weeks i got to see my gp and request for a bone scan and still waiting to hear from him. There are days that i felt the worst, like crawling around the house cause walking is unbearable, but still i got to go to the gym and work on my legs. It's difficult at the start though but i felt better the next day.Try consult a physiotherapist too.
