I was diagnosed with cervical spinal stenosis in 2005. After having an MRI I took it to a neurosurgeon who was considered one of the best in my area.  I was told that it could remain the same as it is forever or it could become worse. It's a wait and see problem. I was also told because the surgery can be very dangerous that unless problems arise they will not consider surgery.  I was told not to consider surgery or to consult a surgeon until it became difficult to walk. If my legs just weren't managable. Please remember everyone is different and cps is different based on the vertebra levels. Good luck.
