Q: what it is an iliac pain?

The ilium is the largest bone in the pelvis, more commonly thought of as your hips.  I suppose any pain associated with that bone could be called iliac pain.  The most common type of iliac pain we hear about is sacroiliac pain.  The sacroiliac (or sacro-iliac) is the joint between the ilium and the sacrum (a triangular shaped bone near the base of the spine).
