Do you have any tingling, numbness in toes 2 ,3 or both? Any callous tissue under metatarsals (ball of foot) 2,3 or both? An educated guess tells me you could have a "bursitis" or maybe a Morton's neuroma (2nd interspace R foot)---A most ALWAYS benign growth that is pushing your toes apart. Of course, one cannot be sure in this type of forum. You would need an exam and x-rays. I would like to know more about your symptoms, duration and any history of injury? What State do you live in? I most likely will tell you to go see a good Podiatrist. These are generally caused by mechanical problems with the feet and do not always require surgery! Would like to know more about this situation.    DR.J.

P.S. Are you a male or female? Shoes could contribute to your symptoms.
