I presently take Kadian 80 mg (extended release morphine) twice a day, for chronic pain, cervical disc disease and fibromalsia, and then some.  I am finding myself more sleepy at night and during the day.  Does anyone think its the morphine 30 mg for breakthrough?

In terms of pain management, Morphine 30mg would be more effective than the Oxycodone. However, as far as side effects are concerned, Oxycodone is a better choice. Morphine is a terrible drug to be on, especially at higher doses.
