Some TMJ patients do report their troubles started after they had dental work done but one would think this would be due to problems with their bite. You should probably have your bite checked out by your regular dentist.

Some dentists do specialize in TMJ. You can find a couple in the URL below. Perhaps you should have one do an examination of your jaw and bite (?). Note that TMD is a complex problem and many treatments have undergone the rigor of scientific study - its a kind of grey area with regard to treatment.

Coming from someone who's been suffering from TMJ it's a posibility. I know I had some dental work done and that made my TMJ worse. I had it before my dental work but when they pulled one of my back teeth I've not been the same. I have headaches, jaw pain, pressure in my face( almost as if I have a sinus infection)ear pain, neck pain,dizziness/balance problems, and it makes my throat hurt ( it feels dry and I have a hard time swallowing). If you have any of these symptoms I would reccomend you see a TMJ specialist. You don't won't to get to the point that I'm at now it really sucks. It is definitly controlling my life. Good luck, and I hope this helps you out.
