Q: What is the difference between hydrocodone apap 7.5-325 and hydrocodone apap 5-500?

A senior citizen lady who is like a mom to me had a back surgery a year ago and was taking the 5-500 i know she was not taking it every 8 hours like she was suppose to and recently went to her pain management doctor and told him she was still and alot and constant pain.  he gave her the 7.5-325 this time to take every 8 hours?  i was wondering it this one is stronger and if i should look for certain signs that it is too strong for her?  So could you tell me what the difference is between these 2?
