I'v been having really wierd headaches where its not just in my head that hurts but on the outside too. It hurts right by my temple on both sides of my head. I have had headaches for more than 4 years and now they get really bad. Sometimes my head will hurt really bad for 2 seconds and it makes it so I have to close my eyes. They come and go. But I always have a headache on top of the 2 second headaches.  I dont know if its because I have neck and back problems but its really starting to get on my nerves. I have talked to my doctor about it but she didnt really do anything. What is wrong with me? Why does it hurt on the outside of my head too? Also what can I do to get rid of the pain?

Spinal problems in the neck area can cause some head pain.  But since you've been having these headaches for so long and they are getting more severe, I think it would be a good idea to look more closely into what might be causing them.

When it comes to headaches, I always recommend that people visit our sister site, MyMigraineConnection.com.  It's an excellent site and deals not only with Migraine disease, but also with all types of headaches.  The experts there will be much better able to answer your headache-related questions.
