Topics:Chronic Pain

Today I woke up with a severe headache, neck pain, lower back pain, and dizziness. My temp was 100.4 and my heart rate was 122 beats per minute. Also my blood pressure was 118/89. I found out my blood pressure and heart rate at my physical theraphy appointment. I felt so sick that I couldnt even do the exercises there. So they had me leave. I am only 15 years old. I do have degenerating discs in my lower back but i dont think that has anything to do with what happened today. My parents wont take me to the doctor because of money issues. So please help me. What is wrong with me?

I'm so sorry I didn't answer you earlier, but I just saw your question.  I hope by now you are feeling much better.  Hopefully you just had the flu or some kind of virus.  I know a fever can be uncomfortable and even scary, but it's actually the body's way of fighting infection.  As long as it doesn't go too high, it can be a good thing.  If it ever goes above 104, you need to call your doctor.

If you're still having these symptoms or if they've gotten worse or if you have additional symptoms, you absolutely need to see a doctor.  If money is an issue, check with your local Health Dept.  They will usually provide treatment either free or at a significantly reduced cost – particularly for children.
