At first I was freaked out part of pain management was a shrinkI found an excellant one that has taught relaxation technics plus a combination of medicine that help.I hear(?) hypnosis helps also.I have a great chiropracter but insurance pays only 6 visits. With pain management for me at first they tried me.I have had back problems and fibro, brusitis and sciatic nerve. There are some exercises that he or she (pain mangmenment)Chronic pain I tell them can depress so yes to depression with a cause. Also find some yoga, and a whirpool pad from walmart in the bottom of tub really relaxes, we all face money..God bless>Jackie

The best way to find a pain clinic is to ask your primary care doctor for a referral to a pain specialist or pain clinic. This method also raises the likelihood your insurance will agree to pay. Otherwise check the listings at the Board of Anesthesiologists (online) for local doctors as most pain specialists are board certified in Anesthesiology.
