Sugar is a hard habit to kick, so addicting like a drug. Many people start the morning by heaping sugar on the sugary cereal. Try a whole grain pilaf soaked overnight topped with some chopped dried fruits to give you some sweet satisfaction. A little honey from a local bee keeper is good for you and may reduce seasonal allergies. Many people drink sodas or sweetened drinks all day long. Try water with a slice of citrus for some sweet satisfaction. Some people cannot end the day without something sweet. Try a really good quality, tiny piece of chocolate (chocolate is good for you). Eat slowly and mindfully; that way the sweet satisfaction has a chance to sink into your addicted brain. With suitable substitutes, you too can kick the sugar habit.
