Hello everyone, i am so glad I accidently found this web site,,,I have HAD IT,,,,,,
I have been suffering from chronic back issues (pain) since i was 18 i am 45 now, and still cannot find out what is going on. I do have some disc issues, but according to Doctors, the discs arent that bad for me to be in all this pain, i have been to chiropracters,p.t (so many times) the last physical therapist said, "its just not working for you" i have seen 2 nuerologists, physiatrist (not psychiatrist), i have had more injections than i can count, i have severe spasms, spasms were so bad when i went to get an epidermal from the pain mgmt he couldnt even get the needle in to make the injection,i have had trigger injections,s.i. injections, the only thing that did work was i used to get severe sciatica but an injection into my periformis muscle had totaly stopped that, i cant make plans to go anywhere or do anything, because i dont know where my pain level is going to be at,i am on more meds than any can imagine,, i want off all meds and a diagnosis,an acupunturist said they could probably bring my pain level down from a 9 to a 6 with 25 visits at 100.00 a whack, i dont have that kind of money,, what causes muscles to constantly spasm? i wake up with it, i work with it, i sleep with it, might as well make love to it, tomorrow i am seeing a rhumatoid specialist, if i get one more " i dont know whats wrong with you" i am going to lose it,, i am on an anti depressant that i just started because i am so depressed over living this way,,,, even with the heavy duty medications i still have the pain,, but, they do knock the pain levels down some,i CANT TAKE IT anymore,,, anyone ever have this problem? my pcp thinks i might have fibromyalgia, and started me on cymbalta,i am noticing a little difference, but nothing to make me go out dancing, i dont think i have fibromyalgia as i am not feeling so tender,, it just hurts, and messages help, everything helped but only for an hour, then bang,,,,right back to a walking spasm again. i was resting my lower back on ice once and my legs started bouncing all over the place. i wear stick on heat pads 12hrs a day i am literaly branded. i use ice when i sleep as well, i have noticed that i have gotten tremendously (sp) worse over the last two years. hands go numb, feet go numb,, but all normal results at nuerologists. one doc actually said to me,, yeah so what you got a couple disc problems, so what, (and he started prancing around his office) and said, so dont i,,but you dont see me in pain,,,, he basicly said it is in my head,,it is not,, it is reallllll. I can barely work my full time job which is not physical at all, and i am noticing that i am getting very tired as well, and need to nap. or i fall asleep at work... not from the meds because i wont take them as sceduled when i work..if anyone had or has similiar symptoms i would love to hear what you think,, thank you very much, Linda
hi! i swear, this could have been written by me!! i SO get what you are going thru, how you feel, how the drs. treat you etc. i am sorry, but i do not have any answers for you, only compassion...i, myself have gone thru several injections, procedures, i just had RFA 3 weekss ago , i thought this was my last hope, as the dr. i am now seeing, at first told me i had fibromyalgia and then he told me he didn't know what was causing my pain, he suggested the RFA, i will do ANYTHING, short of surgery, but so far after 3 weeks....no change,,,i also, am getting to the point of WHAT can i do next??? it is getting very , very depressing that no dr. has as of yet helped in any way...so, you see, dear, i feel for you...i wish i could say, don't give up hope, but i am giving up hope, but maybe, maybe, hopefully soon you will find a dr. who can help you..the best of luck...i am here, if you need to talk, vent, cry, laugh
...whatever! cindi

Hi my name is Dennis I live in Fl. If you live in Oh and you have chronic pain don't expect any help from the cowardly OHIO doctors I am origionally from ohio and I live in florida 4 yrs ago I had to return to Toledo because of my brothers death I had no problem getting the medicine that gave me a life in Fla. But when I got back to Toledo there was not one doctor who would help me. The Doctors in Toledo are nothing but a bunch of spineless cowards. I went and begged and pleaded with these "ANGELS OF MERCY" and they laughed at me if you want help for chronic pain and you live in ohio you are shit out of luck. and the Ohio legislature is nothing but a JOKE they have no intrest in the welfare of the people who are suffering. their motto should be " Apathy without Honor"

You are a very compassionate person ( and i cant spell for chit) lol,,, thats my laugh of the week,,,,in my letter that you responded to i think i said i am going to see a rhumatologist (i still cant spell) he examined me, and within five minutes after that and reading my primary doctors letter to him i FINALY WAS DIAGNOSED, fibromyalgia..... i cried because i was so sad that i have so much going on, and i dont need this, i am only 45 ( going on 22) Cindy i highly recommend that you see a rhumatologist. (do they have spell check in here somewhere?) ok,, i highly suggest that you see an athritis specialist (there i can spell that...lol) all kidding aside, they can diagnose you...i had done on line tests before to see if i had it,, i had 10 out of 20 symptoms, so i brushed it off,, but when the "athritis doctor" examined me, he touched and squeezed a bunch of trigger areas,,and i ouched here and there, and when he was done, he asked me to meet him in his office to discuss his findings,,,( my underwear wasnt clean anymore then) oops sorry, that wasnt very lady like. so he put some stuff on his desk, and i saw pamphlets of fibromyalgia,,and i just lost it,, but after i pulled myself together i asked him,,,, " what made you come up with diagnosis,, what was it that confirmed it for you" he said your trigger areas i asked him,, is it because i ooed and ahhhhed? he said no, he could feel them, and when he felt my shoulders that were hard as a rock (as usual) he couldnt believe the spasms. so my friend,,,,,now i am a freaking messsss, and i want to take every doctor that told me its in my head, and theres nothing wrong with you, one even asked me if i am in therapy,,,,,,, and sue the ba****ds. for prolonging my pain for all these years,,,, and the one that asked me if i was in therapy,, he was such a pencil neck geek,,, but now i am in therapy to help .. i have been suffering with depression because of chronic pain,,, now i have a name for it,, CINDY PLEASE CONSIDER SEEING AN ATHRITIS DOCTOR
, thank you for writing back to me,, i totaly feel how you feel how you feel how i feel ,, you know what i mean???
what did i just say? ... well i better go to bed now,, i am too tired and getting goofy,,, then again i must always be tired,,,, make an appointment Cindy...... night, Linda.
