Linda, Cymbalta was a nightmare for me. First, I slept 22 hours out of 24, every day I took it.  Attemting to join the family in the LR to watch tv or talk, I went straight to sleep. I slept on the toilet, in the bathtub and after two weeks of this, no more Cymbalta for me. The nightmares it caused were vivid, and horrifying. When I quit taking it, it took another week for me to no longer feel like a zombie. The pain is bad, but this was also. We are all physiologically different and each person responds differently . I could not tolerate Lyrica or Neurontin either. I have fibromyalgia, degenerative disc disease, worn out knees ( soon to be replaced I pray) Arthritis, and the trigeminal nerve and maxillary nerve in my face was mangled in an auto accident in 04. Prayer and pain management meds keep me functional. I would be in so much pain, life would be unbearable if not for good pain management. Prayer and Faith are my mainstays. I will remember you in my prayers
