i woke up and the left hand side of my jaw and up my ear is very sore and swallon also my ear is sore too

What you describe could be any number of things from an ear infection to an abcessed tooth. There's a lot going on in that relatively small area of your head and where you feel the most pain may not be where the problem is coming from. I had a similar problem a couple of years ago and mine turned out to be an abcessed tooth. You'll need to see your doctor to pinpoint the problem.
