The Kadian would be a little stronger.  100 mg. of Kadian (morphine sulfate) would be equal to between 45 and 60 mg. of OxyContin.

ITS WEIRD HOW EVERYONE WILL TELL YOU DIFFERENTLY CAUSE LIKE I WAS JUST SAYING IN MY ANSWER ABOUT CONTACTING A PHARMACIST ABOUT THIS AND HE TOLD ME THAT 800 MG'S OF MORPHINE WOULD BE EQUAL TO ABOUT 240 MG'S OF OXYCODONE A DAY. HE SAID IT WOULD BE LIKE TAKING 3 - 80 MG'S A DAY ... OH WHO KNOWS ALL I REALLY CARE ABOUT IT KILLING THIS PAIN I HAVE ITS DRIVING ME NUTS!! I HOPE THIS DOESNT SOUND MEAN OR ANYTHING... NOT MY INTENTIONS! TAKE CARE! KIMBER READ MORE

WELL LIKE I WAS ACTUALLY TOLD TODAY FROM A PHARMACIST CAUSE I WAS JUST ASKING THE SAME QUESTION AND HE TOLD ME IT IS LIKE COMPARING APPLES AND ORANGES THEY HAVE A DIFFERENT EFFECT BUT.... I WAS ON 200MG.X'S 4 A DAY WHICH IS 800 MG A DAY AND HE TOLD ME THAT IT WOULD BE ABOUT EQUILVELENT TO ABOUT 80 MG'S X 3 A DAY OF OXYCODONE AND I EVEN ASKED HIM IF HE THOUGHT THAT WOULD BE BETTER FOR ME THE OXYCODONE AND HE SAID HE PERSONALLY THOUGHT SO. SO THE ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION IN MY OPINION WOULD BE IT IS PROBABLY CLOSE TO BEING THE SAME DOSAGE BUT MY GUESS IS THAT YOU WOULD PROBABLY BENEFIT MORE PAIN RELIEF FROM THE OXYCODONE AND NOT FEEL AS SLEEPY OR WORE DOWN CAUSE I SURE DID ON THE MORPHINE AND THATS WHAT KADIAN IS .. WHAT I WAS TOLD ANYWAY. GOOD LUCK AND TAKE CARE..........KIMBER READ MORE
