How frequent are your Migraines? In addition to it's adiction potential, if used more than two or three days a week, Stadol can make matters worse by causing medication overuse headaches, aka rebound. If you have three or more Migraines a month, preventive therapies should be investigated.   Your best bet for making progress with your Migraine treatment would be to see an actual Migraine specialist. If you need help finding one, you can check out our listing of Patient Recommended Specialists.   I can't predict which, if any, of these doctors would prescribe Stadol. It can't stop a Migraine, only mask the pain for a few hours. Most doctors prefer to prescribe Migraine abortive medications such as the triptans -- Imitrex, Maxalt, Zomig, etc. -- because they actual can abort a Migraine.   Good luck in your search for relief, Teri Robert
