    Kidney infection with headache

    I went to Urgent Care this morning and was diagnosed with a kidney infection (tenderness in the kidneys, frequent urination and nausea.)  Given 500 mg Cipro, 2x day.  Now I'm having a pretty bad headache.  Might this be a complication of the infection?  Should I go to emergency?  I've taken Cipro in the past with no problems.

    I know this is an old post, but hopefully my answer may help others. I'm in my mid 50's but have suffered both frequent migraines and recurrent UTI's since I was a teenager. For me, the first sign of a UTI is bad headaches (not migraines). A couple of days later, the back pain, frequency, burning etc begins. Tests then show up a urinary infection. READ MORE
