Everyone is different and what works best for one person may not work for another. But those who have had the best results usually take a multi-disciplined treatment approach that includes medication, gentle exercise, one or more complementary therapies (like massage therapy, acupuncture, yoga, etc.) and lifestyle changes.

Hello, I recently was diagnosed with fibromyalgia about two months ago, i heard alot about cymbalta, so i decided to give it a try,as i needed something for depression and the pain (i take narcotics as well, such as fentanyl patch, hydromorphone, also xanax and soma, these i were on before i was diagnosed) everyone isssss different, what may work for some dont for others, i asked myself about meds in this FANTASTIC ROOM about medications. out of about 12 people that told me that cymbalta was a nightmare for them, THEY WERE RIGHT... i will not try lyrica either, just my personal opinion. exersise is so important, but i cant do it yet because i am in so much pain, and under alot of stress that does not help at all either. I would exersise, but dont push it, dont put yourself thru a work out,, take it slow. little by little. I dont believe that just excersise can stop the pain, but it can help. Like Karen said message therapy etc. I cant afford it, but i know how good it feels, as i have had some messages thru p.t. and chiropractic care, also i get injections in my trigger spots,,, good luck,,,,,
