Q: What is the difference between oxycotin and roxicodone?

I am a stage 4 cancer patient and was on morphone, then oxycotin and oxycodone...my old doctor took my insurance and now he doesn't so I'm going to see a new doctor in a couple of weeks.  The nurse told me he would write roxicodone instead of oxy....will this be able the same or should I continue to look for another doctor?

Roxicodone is just another brand name for oxycodone.  If oxycontin and oxycodone worked for you, so should roxicodone.
