have questions on switching meds due to tollerence. Also there seems to be someone using ouch!!!
I am now on oxycontin and oxycodone for btm, I have grown a huge tollerance to it and wanted any suggestionsto what i could switch to. My pharmacy will only cover certain things and the doc told me that he said to ask about any er med, he is willing to switch. i am on 30 mg of the btm, is there anything that will touch that? Also someone else with different problems is using the name ouch!!!!!!!!
Your pain management Doctor should be able to counsel you on what type of medication he can switched you to. You might want to contact your insurance company, and find out what narcotic medications they will/and will not cover, and then bring that list to your PM Doc, so that way he will be able to choose from the list.

There are several other options that could replace oxycodone, but your doctor would have to decide which would be appropriate for you.
As for someone else having the same user name as you, unfortunately that does happen sometimes since the site doesn't require a unique user name. Actually, at least four different people have used "ouch" for their user name at some point. It is possible to change your user name if you'd rather have one that is more unique.

Hey ouch, sorry I can't answer your question, but maybe you could answer one for me...
I have just been switched from Vicodin to Oxycontin because I had built up a tolerance. How long did you take oxycontin before you built up a tolerance? At what dose?
I am hoping to be able to get some long term relief from Oxycontin.
Thanks
Jeff
