Has anyone tryed Lidocaine patches an have they helped at all?

After waiting 6 months to see a Rhumatologist, she gave me injections in my fingers to stop my fingers from getting stuck all the time.

Im not sure what new pain I will have every morning. But I have a huge knot or lump in my right shoulder blade(4 years) that causes my neck to hurt and sometimes unable to move my neck, also get alot of headachs from it. Nobody can seem to get it out.

So im hoping these patches are gonna help. Just wondering if anybody has had any pain relief from them?????

Hi Arlene,

I have used the Lidoderm patches for about a year now.  I don't have to use them every day, but I have certainly used them on occasion when I need them.  They are so very easy to use, are not addictive, and work very well.  I have had moments where I could scream, curl up in a corner, & cry from the pain.  That's when I go for my patch.  I just put one where I need it, and within a half hour or so, the pain has greatly diminished.  They work for about 12 hours.  12 hrs on/12 hrs off.

I would definitely recommend them.  It is a great alternative to the narcotics and such for me, as I choose not to go that route.  I use Lyrica and Naprosyn.

I wish you the best of luck in your search for relief!  Take care.
