Q: We can no longer afford our health insurance. I need butrans 20 mcg transdermal. Is there a program that will help with the cost or will the manufacturer help with the cost if I pay out of pocket?

Check out NeedyMeds.org or PPARx.org.  Both are nonprofit organizations that will help you determine if you qualify for the drug manufacturer's prescription assistance program and will provide you with the necessary forms to apply for help.  NeedyMeds also offers coupons and discount cards for medications in case you don't qualify for free meds.

I don't have medical insurance and have used and can recommend both organizations.  I hope they can help you.
