How is fusion done

Spinal fusion is done to immobolize vertebrae that are moving around and causing pain. In a spinal fusion bone is grafted sometimes with screws into the damaged area to form  a kind of superstructure that stabilizes the area. Over time the bone  slowly fuses onto the spine.
