Q: Chronic Pain

I suffer from Peripharal Neuropathy and my doctor had me on a managed dose of 20-30 mg of Ocycodone per day which helped me tremendously. Unfortunately he passed away back in January and I cannot find a new doctor to prescribe it for me. I've tried the Tramadol, Lyrica, Neurontin, etc. and it doesn't work. Can you advise me? Even though it's a "Schedule 2" med I need it to reduce the pain. And, no I'm not addicted.

You need to find a pain management Doctor in your area. PM Doc's are comfortable prescribing opioids because that is there specialty, treating chronic pain. So my advice to you is to stop going to general practitioners for your PN, and get yourself a good PM Doc that can treat you. Good luck,
