Question
Steve Melton
04/27/08

What is the feeling of thickness like a shoe sole and burning on the bottom of the foot?

This has been going for around 9 months. It has gotten so bad It's caused me to limp a couple of times. I've been checked.I am not diabetic. My Chiropractor says the facia has wrinkles in it I have also heard it is related to my adrenials. The thickness and burning lessens at times and is very strong at times. I'm at a loss for the moment. Help!

Hi Steve Melton,

Even though you are not diabetic you could still be experiencing peripheral neuropathy which might explain your pain. There is a posting by Jonley that made that gives a little information and some helpful tips. You can read that here. Rebz is another user who has peripheral neuropathy. You can read that post here.

When looking into chronic pain and causes there are alot of very good posts written by Karen Lee Richards. Karen is the Co-founder of the Fybromyalgia Foundation. You can read about Karen here, and read her posts here.

I hope this helps. Remember, online sites are great resources for information, but can not take the place of your doctor's expert advice.

Take care and stay in touch!
