Q: Is a Thorasic Medial Branch Block needed for a pinched nerve in the Thoracic part of your spine?

I am a 55 year old female. I have had back problems since I was a teenager. When I was about 29 years old I was diagnosed with Degenerative Disc Disease. Ten years later it went from mild to severe, especially in my low back. I have spinal stenosis, spondylothesis, bone spurs up and down my whole spine, osteoarthritis of the spine, knees, and hip. I have had all my Cervical Disc fused with donated bone and a titanium plate with eight screws. I have had a Lumbar Laminectomy with Double Fusions, bone grafted from both of my hips, from L4-L5-S1. I am worried that my Thorasic may have a ruptured disc with spinal fluid leaking into my spine, because that was the reason I had to have the fusions in my Cervical area. My Pain Specialist has not ordered any kind of testing, CT's, X-Rays, before he does this Thoracic Branch Block. Is this treatment sufficient for my condition?
