which medications is more likely causing the onset of my medical condition?
i am currently taking the medication adderall and loestrin. and i have a medical condition called raynaud's syndrome i have had for about 13yrs. and at 11:00pm last nite the symptoms from this condition began. first it started with pain in my left arm it started from my shoulder and went down to my fingers . the pain from my shoulder to wrist is like someone is squeezing my arm very tight and the pain in my fingers is a realy bad cramping pain.my fingers and toes are a blueish purple color, and are extremely cold.which the coldness and discoloring i am used to. but the pain in my arm is what worries me the most because of clotting or an artery collapsing. so can someone tell me which one of the 2 medications is most likely to be the one making my raynaud's so bad or the one more likely to cause my artery to clot or collapse?
Neither one is a good idea if you have Raynaud's. But you need to see your Dr, cuz Raynaud's primarily affects the fingers/hands and toes/feet and what you're talking about is something else. Raynaud's starts at the END of the extremities and goes toward the body's core and like I said, it's mostly confined to hands and feet. You wouldn't be trying to ignore or deny the symptoms of a heart attack, would you? GO TO YOUR DOCTOR NOW!!!!!!!!

I stand corrected-as you said, you are a rare case and I wasn't aware of your extensive testing to confirm your diagnosis. You'd be surprized to see all the heart attacks that only have pain in shoulder, arm, elbow, wrist,or jaw with no actual chest pain at all.Especially females. But back to the original ? Both drugs can cause problems-particularly when vascular problems are already present. That's where they came up with the phrase "you must weigh the benefits against the risks" when taking some meds. If you started one of them recently, then it would be the culprit. If you've been on both for some time it could be a cumulative effect or combination of the two---or--it could just be totally unrelated to either, and the disease process has flared up for some reason. Considering the gravity of the possible complications from a clot or vascular collapse, you should still see your doc asap. Losing a limb, having a stroke if a clot breaks loose, or possibly dying is not something to take chances with. I wish you luck in finding the cause before something bad might happen.Your family/friends need you around!

no not at all but i dont have the signs of heart attack. i have had the same pain in my leg while i was in the hospital a few yrs ago. and i know that the symtoms usualy start at the end of the extrimities. but when i was diagnosed with raynaud's they were realy worried with it because it started with tingling in my arms and hands my hand got real cold and then my lips started tingling and i ended up having a seizure the first the symptoms started well the doctors couldnt figure out what it was. a year later the same thing happened and i was transferred to a different hospital and finaly was sent to a veterans hospital where a doctor ran test the angiogram and thats when he told me i had raynaud's and that it just happened that i was one the rare people with raynaud's that had such a severe case that it caused me to have seizures. so my point being that the pain in my arm is part of my raynaud's. its just worrying me because the arm that my pain is in is the arm that was and has always been the one that i was at most risk 4 a clot or artery collapse and this is the longest that the symptoms have ever lasted especialy my arm and the thing is that usualy any other time when the pain in my arm would get bad the tingling would start which would result in me having a seizure. but this is not the case this time. thats why i was wondering about the medications and which one would be the one to more likly to cause the clot or collpse.
