Q: What causes mid back pain and tenderness after eating?

My fiance wakes every morning feeling good. After she eats, she begins to experience discomfort. I have found a very tender spot on her lower back rib cage, on the right side...It doesn't feel like a muscle doesn't really feel like anything at all but is very tender. Any ideas?

Only a physician can accurately diagnose your fiance's pain. The gall bladder does come to mind as the pain from gall bladder problems often occurs in that area (below rib cage on right hand side) and can be initiated by high fat meals. If this is what is occurring, there are diets for gall bladder problems, but she'll have to see a physician to determine what's really going on. Good luck!
