Q: is maxalt a narcotic?

No, Maxalt is what's called a 'triptan' drug; these drugs are used to affect the blood vessels in the brain. They have nothing at all to do with narcotic or opioid drugs.

With all due respect to Cort, Maxalt does far more than impact the blood vessels. This question has been answered on our Migraine site. See Is Maxalt a narcotic?
