Might you have been bitten by something? Swelling with pus can be a sign of a localized infection. It could be from a spider or insect bite or it could be a fungal or bacterial infection. Boils, for instance, are due to a bacterial infection of a hair follice. If it hasn't resolved by now you should see your doctor to find out what's going on. Good luck!
