have mutiple foot problems!!
I've just gotten the results of an MRI of my left foot and it certainly seems to me that the foot Doc should have ordered it as opposed to my oncologist, the report reads extensive bony edema, involving the medial surfaces of both the talus & sustentaculum tali, also stated, abnormal tissue in region of the tarsal sinus/w poor visualization of the interosseous talocalcaneal ligament = tarsal sinus syndrome? also Hallus valgus deformity is present,I'm in SUCH PAIN I cannot walk w/o blinding pain, now I've been directed to have an ultrasound, but that may be weeks away I can't deal with this pain ,I'm about to lose my tenous hold on reality,I don't have any hope ,does any one have any suggestions?
Until your doctors figure out what to do for you, here is some suggestions that you can do to help yourself. Start using crutches or a wheelchair to get around without having to put pressure on your painful foot. If you smoke, stop! Concentrate on improving your health by eating nutritiously everyday. Try to do something you enjoy everyday. And get an appointment with the best foot doctor you can find (I prefer orthopedists who specialize in the foot as opposed to podiatrists).
If you keep finding ways to help yourself, you will not feel so helpless and hopeless.

Thank you, crutches are out of the question due to R.S.D.pain almost every where, although I do want to quit smoking so that's next! and I've gotten an appointment for Thursday, with the supposed best ultrasouhd Doc, so I can get injections in my affected foot ,I thank you from the bottom of my heart for responding,I did see an orthopedist, and she was the one who gave me a soft cast and sent me on my way.I'm convinced that once she heard R.S.D. she didn't want to "mess" with me, that's way I asked my oncologist if an M.R.I. was in order, and thank god she ordered one,and I'm proud to say that once I mentioned legal action,I was able to get an app't within a few days.(They orginally told me Oct.)Living with chronic pain is hard enough let alone dealing w/ all the facets of the maze of medical in and outs! I do eat right, and have my own space in a community garden, and that affords me all the benefits of growing lots of our own food although I can't get there as often as I used to,it is the saving grace in my life once again,Thanks Starflake
