can one use Skelaxin as needed?

MRI reveals degenerative disc disease-most significant @L2-L3.

The pain is chronic. My doctor prescribed Slelaxin 800 mg 4/day.

It does help the pain. It also makes me nauseous. Will the drug be

effective if I just take it when I feel that I need the pain or spasm

to ease up? Or must I take it as prescribed so that it is always active

in my system in order to get the relief it offers?
