Q: What is the difference btw METHYLPHENIDATE SR 20 MG TAB and METHYLPHENIDATE ER 20 MG TAB?

It's a bit confusing but according to Drugs.com both are sustained release tabs which last about 8 hours and both refer to the same medication. There are also immediate release tablets of the same dosage which do not have extra letters. It may be that different manufacturers refer to the drug differently. For instance, Ritalin SR is the same as methylphenidate ER...
